Spring! March is an unusual month in Florida. It can be 80 degrees during the day and 37 degrees at night.
But it is Spring! We see the flowers and trees blooming and the POLLEN. . . We know the pollen is here!
Still, the idea of Spring. Renewal, sprouting and growing. My mind is in two places this time of the year. What can I make look new and different? Paint! I can paint walls; I can even chalk paint furniture to change the look of the inside of the house. (That is another article)
Then there is the outside of the home; wanting that perfect welcoming back yard for upcoming summer activities and cookouts! The flower beds need weeding and thinning, and new plants, mulch and this is the year I am going to spray paint those lawn chairs and fix that pallet flower shelf, and a Saturday is just so long.
Where do I begin? Inside or out? The inside of the house wins. I will paint the walls in the living room and refinish some furniture pieces that I have enjoyed as natural wood, but believe the ‘shabby chic look’ will renew my spring vision for the inside of the home.

Congratulations Brick Builders!
For the second consecutive year, the Parade of Homes will also feature homes built by Flagler students that participate in the Brick Builders Club. The Flagler Home Builders Association is proud to sponsor Brick Builders Clubs in all five elementary schools in the County. The Flagler School District has a strong focus on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). The Brick Builder
Clubs teach students about planning, collaboration, and engineering in a fun and engaging way.
